Kelso Treatment Solutions provides individuals ages 18 and older with the opportunity to take part in medication-assisted treatment services and therapeutic interventions that are specifically designed to address opioid addiction.

Our team of medical professionals understands the complexities linked to the disease of addiction, and we believe in the importance of providing each patient with a customized treatment plan that embodies his or her unique set of treatment requirements and goals.

As part of the comprehensive treatment experience at Kelso, the following prescription medications are available for patients to incorporate into their treatment plans:

Methadone: As an opioid agonist, methadone provides patients with the opportunity to safely eliminate withdrawal symptoms while keeping cravings for continued opioid use at bay. The use of this medication will not cause patients to experience feelings of euphoria, allowing individuals to actively play a role in daily activities without impairment.

Subutex: Using buprenorphine as its primary active ingredient, Subutex is a partial opioid agonist-antagonist that blocks the effects that opioids have within an individual’s brain. When taken, Subutex eliminates cravings for additional opioid use while preventing patients from experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Suboxone: Using a combination of naloxone and buprenorphine, Suboxone works by eliminating withdrawal symptoms as well as cravings for continued opioid use. Unlike the other medications that are available in treatment, Suboxone will cause patients to experience withdrawal symptoms should they attempt to abuse opioids or other substances while in treatment.

The specific medication that is prescribed, as well as the dosage that is administered, will be dependent upon the unique treatment requirements of each individual patient. Medications can be adjusted during the course of treatment if necessary.

In addition to medication-assisted treatment, Kelso Treatment Solutions also provides patients with the opportunity to take part in therapeutic interventions. The following therapies are designed to assist patients as they work towards a future that is substance-free:

  • Individual therapy gives patients the opportunity to work one-on-one with a highly qualified counselor in order to address and treat the underlying factors that may have contributed to their addiction, and to work through any questions or issues that may arise during the course of treatment.
  • Group therapy consists of counselor-led sessions that bring patients together with other individuals who are receiving treatment for addiction. These sessions promote open and honest communication on a variety of topics related to addiction and recovery. Group sessions provide patients with the ability to offer support and encouragement to their peers in a safe and structured environment.

Kelso Treatment Solutions is here to provide you or someone that you love with the all-inclusive treatment that is necessary in order to successfully break free from the dangerous cycle of opioid addiction. Our compassionate staff of medical professionals is here to assist you in taking the first steps towards the healthy, happy, and substance-free future that you deserve to be living.
